Extreme sports enthusiasts and the courageous can enjoy alpinism, mountaineering and free climbing, especially on attractive cliffs above beautiful shingle beaches in numerous coves. The rock known as Zamak, 5 km from the town of Pag, has pitons for eight different climbing directions requiring diffrent levels of effort, mostly 5c to 7c. The rock Stogaj with surrounding rocks has 13 climbing directions, 4b to 6c+. These climbing opportunities attract modern tourists who are keen on active holidays and extreme sports.
A special attraction for those who are interested in the mysterious is the megalithic imprint on stone, known as the »The Pag Triangle«. This flat triangle-shaped area of fragmented stone is located on Tusto Celo, an elevation overlooking the Velebit mountain range on one side and Pag Cove on the other. No winds or rains could disturb the triangle, and it remains as a mystery that puzzles anyone who comes there to see it.
